In one simple word - beautiful!

Enric Rosich Macarons at Arenas de Barcelona in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, is my latest great find. The little shop was a whole experience in itself, and I must confess I hadn’t tasted so far so unique flavors of macaroons.

They were colorful, crispy, fresh and extremely tasty! My favorite is the blueberry one, a 5 out of 5!

This was sent by a friend of mine who was flying with Lufthansa the other week. It looks so pretty but it tasted, I was told, like flavor enhanced (chemicals was the exact word he used :-)) Pity really, yet I say thumbs up for the airline!

A great find in NYC, La Maison du Chocolat, an absolutely beautiful store, where macaroons were unfortunately or fortunately imported from Paris, France. I’d have preferred to try something local perhaps.
Well, I tasted two flavors, chocolate and pistachio. Everything was perfect about them, the shape, the filling, a natural taste of the shell, except slightly soft. I definitely recommend though going there if you happen to visit the Big Apple.

Macarooons!

A great find today - while visiting the Ericsson Studio, my eyes glowed, Ericsson welcomes their guests with macaroons. Picked up a vanilla/caramel macaroon and enjoyed it with a nice espresso.
They were freshly baked, perfect shape, just a little bit too sweet - yet it gets a 4 from me. Well done Ericsson ;-) I just need to find out now which is the macaroon provider.

Gorgeous Sydney Macaron dreams

With luck, I stumbled across La Renaissance, a Patisserie based in Sydney, Australia. It comes with a reccomendation as a fabulous place to taste these delicacies and on a personal note, would be interesting to see how they differ from this continent. I would imagine that they would fair quite well, considering the cuisine is actually quite superb and something I miss. Well, if you are from down under, would love to hear how you rate these lovelies!

Currently Hello Sugar is temporarily closed, due to parents leave, but we look forward to the opportunity to trying once the service is reopened!
For inspiration here is Åsa on Swedish t.v. talking about her confectionary (be forewarned it is in Swedish). Hope you enjoy!
